Direct Filing Information

We now offer direct filing of debtor education certificates with the court. This service is available for all districts. We have already successfully filed over 670,000 certificates nationwide.

According to the new law, debtor education providers do not need to file Form B-423s, only notice of course completion. Click here for the most current B-423 form explaining this new rule.

If you choose to have us file your clients' debtor education certificate(s) with the court, we will make our best efforts to file all of the certificates for your clients within one to two business days. The court will send an email notification to you if your email address is listed in your client's bankruptcy record. In addition, you can always call us at 800-516-2759 7 days/week if you would like us to file a certificate or check on a filed certificate.

Our goal is to provide accurate filing whenever possible. If we attempt to file a certificate and receive an error, we will make every effort to contact you and your client. However, we cannot guarantee that each certificate will be properly filed. We recommend that you check the court's docket to ensure the accuracy of the filing. In addition, by accepting an attorney code and allowing Sage to file certificates on behalf of your clients, you agree that Sage is not liable for any damages caused by or related to an improper filing of a certificate, including, but not limited to, damages caused by Sage's negligence.
